Arclinea-Wine Storage

The Italian company Arclinea joined forces with designer Antonio Citterio to design a new restaurant style, technologically advanced wine storage system for home and commercial use. The Arclinea Vina contains double-glazed coplanar doors that slide over one another for easy opening and an airtight seal as well as stainless steel shelves. It comes in two widths to accommodate either 112 or 154 bottles. 

Jason Wu + Target

I can't wait for the Jason Wu collection to be released at Target in February!

In the meantime I love everything from his pre-fall 2012 collection, including the doors he used as his backdrop.  For his inspiration he combined the opulent formality of the Maharaja with the graphic whimsy of illustrator Charley Harper. He thought, "combining the two meant a strict silhouette with stately embellishments."

Pantone Color of the year 2012

We will be seeing a lot of this red-orange hue in 2012. Pantone selected Tangerine tango, color 17-1463 as its color of the year for 2012.

Urban Drafting Table

Urban Archaeology is one of my favorite sources. I love scouring through their architectural salvage.  Here is a fabulous drafting table circa 1905 with a new acrylic top. It is fully restored and functional. It would make a great desk or a place to display art.

Dunton Hot Springs

A friend just told me about this amazing resort called Dunton Hot Springs.  It is set in an old ghost town nestled in the mountains of the Colorado Rockies. 

 It seems to embody rustic luxury to perfection! You could spend the whole day exploring the great outdoors or relaxing in their spa and natural hot springs.  

Tate - Alice in Wonderland

There is an interesting exhibit currently running at Tate Liverpool on Alice in Wonderland. The focus is on the creation of Lewis Carol's 150 year old novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and how they have inspired countless artists through the decades. 

The exhibit is on November 4, 2011-January 29, 2012 located at Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4BB England.

Manolo + Milk

It seems the owners of Manolo Blahnik are now selling milk! Arethusa Farm Dairy, located in Litchfield Connecticut, is the creation of Manolo Blahnik USA co-owners George Malkemus and Tony Yuragaitis. The sign on their milking barn says it all "Every cow in this barn is a lady; please treat her as such." 

They also opened an elegant creamery selling ice cream, farmer cheese, and yogurt, 822 Bantam Road in Bantam, Connecticut.
