MFA: The Postcard Age + In Your Face

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has some interesting exhibits coming this autumn.

"The Postcard Age" will feature about 400 postcards dating back to the early 1900's from Leonard A. Lauder's private collection. Postcards, a new medium at the time, became a huge craze and a way for artists to express historical and cultural themes of the time. The show will be on October 24th- April 14th.

"In Your Face" will be renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino's first US exhibit. Over his 30 year career he has captured the faces of countless models, actors and musicians.  The show will juxtapose private party snapshots with formal portraits, nudes with fashion shots, and black and whites with color in order to get a sense of the world through his lens. The exhibit will run from October 21st-Febuary 3rd.
